Coillte Teoranta t/a Compass Club (“Compass”) only do business on the basis of these General Terms & Conditions of Sale. When You place an order with us, You place it subject to these general terms & conditions as in effect at the time of placing Your order. Accepting delivery of our products or placing a booking for a service means You accept these terms & conditions and no other terms and conditions. We greatly appreciate Your business and We publish these conditions in order to ensure clarity.
1. Bookings and eTickets
- Third party sales of CompassClub tickets or bookings is strictly prohibited and as a result 3rd party tickets & bookings cannot and will not be honoured.
- Declaring a Child's Needs (if any)
- This information is required in order to ensure that We can ensure the safety, Well-being and enjoyment of everyone on a Compass Club event. Information provided is kept confidential. We have experience of successfully accommodating children with diverse needs and We intend to continue to do this where We can. However, restricted mobility such as wheelchairs, crutches, etc cannot be accommodated
- It is critical that You declare any special relevant requirements/needs (social, behavioural or medical) of the child You are booking a ticket for. If You don't tell us We can't help and it could impact on Your child and on others. As a simple rule of thumb, if You would tell the child's teacher, then tell us. Often a simple awareness on our behalf can improve the enjoyment Your child will get with Compass Club.
- Failure to declare a relevant medical, social or behavioural need can result in Our inability to accommodate Your child at a Compass Club event and in this scenario Your ticket will not be refundable as You will have taken up a space.
- In some circumstances, We may need an additional appropriately trained and vetted adult to accompany a child (group of children) in order to be able to accept them on a course but We will discuss this with You and the options that exist where this need arises.
- If in doubt, We are here to help! So please send Your contact details and Your thoughts to us by email to info@compassclub.ie and We will get back to You ASAP to confidentially discuss options for how We can make it work.
- Issue of eTickets
- When Your booking has been confirmed Your eTickets and other information will be dispatched via email to the email address You specified on booking.
- It is Your responsibility to check prior to Your purchase that the info You have supplied to us in respect of Your eTicket requirements is accurate.
- We are only responsible for issuing eTickets for Your booking in accordance with the information You provide.
- eTickets bought are only valid for the programme/course/event, location and dates & times specified on the eTicket
- Our booking confirmation and eTicket are delivered electronically to the assigned user account once purchased and funds have cleared.
- Bookings and eTicket Purchase and Validity
- eTickets cannot be returned / refunded / exchanged once delivered.
- For the avoidance of doubt, with the singular exception where We cancel an entire programme, entire course or or entire standalone event, any monies that have been paid to us which constitute payment in respect of the provision of used or unused Services, Tickets, Bookings, cannot be refunded.
- If one of the events in a multi event course is cancelled due to Weather or some other reason outside of our control, We will at our sole discretion, endeavour to reschedule this event to the end of the course if possible.
2. Returns / Refunds
We want You to be happy and enjoy Your purchase but in the event that You are not, this section explains how We manage that.
In relation to the purchase of eTickets / bookings for our Courses and events
- eTickets cannot be returned / refunded / exchanged once delivered.
- If You book an incorrect location or time then We will endeavour to change Your booking to Your preferred location if You notify us within 24 hours of booking provided it is more than 7 calendar days before the course/event starts.
- Partially used eTickets cannot be refunded or credited. (e.g. non-attendance at one or many event(s) in a course of events)
- If You fail to notify us of a relevant significant medical, social or behavioural need then Your ticket may be cancelled without refund. This is in the interest of the safety, well being and enjoyment of everyone at a CompassClub event.
In relation to the purchase of physical products from our online store,
- Returns must be made within 14 days.
- You must complete the Return Form and include a printed copy with Your returns. Please remember if You do not include this form this will mean that We have no way to identify You to give You Your refund.
- We will refund Your payment for goods (subject to our terms and conditions). Please be aware that refunds do not include P&P charges.
- Goods must be unworn, undamaged, complete and in an unused condition in original packaging suitable for resale. Tags must not be removed or damaged.
- Goods are returned at the customer’s expense.
- We advise You to return goods using a tracking service so You can track Your parcel and ensure its delivery. If posting, please ensure that You affix correct postage to Your parcel as We cannot accept under paid postage deliveries.
- We cannot be held responsible for returned items that are lost or damaged in transit.
- Refunds will be made via original payment method within 15 working days of the return being received.
- We have the right to refuse any return that should, in our opinion, be outside our terms & conditions.
3. Payment
- All other orders must be paid in full at the time of order.
- We accept the following forms of payment – debit card, credit card, and EFT. All goods remain the property of the Company until paid for in full. Course or Event Bookings are not confirmed until cleared funds have been received by the Company.
- In exceptional and only pre-agreed circumstances, We can accept a cheque payment but this is subject to an administration fee - currently €10.00 (incl VAT) per cheque - and orders cannot be processed or bookings held until cleared funds are in our accounts. Returned cheques will incur a charge to cover banking fees and administrative costs. In an instance of a second Returned cheque, We reserve the right to terminate the arrangement and, if agreed to, We shall insist on future credit/debit card transactions only. Consequently, all bookings and/or transactions and agreements entered into will cease with immediate effect until such time as any and all outstanding monies are recovered in full
- All major Credit/Debit Cards, Electronic Fund Transfer or if agreed in advance cleared funds from a Personal Cheque, are all acceptable methods of payment, unless stated otherwise. Our Terms are payment in full with order, unless stated otherwise.
- We reserve the right to seek recovery of any monies remaining unpaid 40 days from the date of invoice via collection agencies and/or through any other means which We consider appropriate. In such circumstances, You shall be liable for any and all additional administrative and/or court costs.
4. Delivery / Order Fulfilment
- On a best endeavours basis, We aim to deliver all orders placed as soon as possible (normally within 3-5 working days), but in certain circumstances this may not be possible for reasons beyond our control. Our maximum liability for delays howsoever caused is expressly limited to the delivery charge applied (if any), to the specific order.
- We will endeavour to fulfil every order promptly but can accept no liability for an inability to supply if We or are out of stock, if a product is discontinued or if a programme/course/event is sold out.
- eTickets are sent by email to the email address provided at time of purchase.
- Shortages / mispicks must be reported within 48 hours of delivery to info@compassclub.ie
- We may consolidate multiple orders within a time period into a single combined delivery
- We may part deliver Your order in order to expedite getting Your goods to You.
5. Pricing
- We may charge a delivery charge on all orders.
- Pricing is subject to change without notice but will be as stated on our Website.
- Promotional prices, discounts and offers are subject to payment in full in advance.
- If a discount voucher or coupon is not used at the time of ordering or booking it cannot be applied after the order has been processed and We regret that no discount / promotion can be subsequently applied to the order.
- Only 1 offer can be utilised on any single order.
- We do not issue Quotes or pro-forma invoices.
- All offers are valid until the end of a promotional offer period or until allocated promotional stock /promotional places are sold whichever occurs soonest.
6. Retention of Title
- Title to the Goods shall not pass to the Customer until We have received payment in full (in cash or cleared funds) for: (a) the Goods; and (b) any other goods We supply
- Risk of damage to or loss of the Products shall pass to You upon delivery.
7. General
- If any dispute arises, We shall use our reasonable endeavours to consult or negotiate in good faith, and attempt to reach a just and equitable settlement satisfactory to both You and us.
- We will not be bound by clerical or arithmetical errors in documents issued by us or on our Website.
- If printed, these Terms & Conditions they are only relevant and accurate at the time of printing, and You should be aware that they may have changed since printing. All orders and bookings are made under the terms and conditions as stated on our Website at the time of booking.
- We may alter these General Conditions, set out herein, from time to time. The current version of these General Conditions will always be available on www.CompassClub.ie in the "About Us" section
8. Force Majeure
Neither Party shall be liable to the other for any failure to perform any obligation under any Agreement which is due to an event beyond the control of such Party including but not limited to any Act of God, terrorism, war, political insurgence, insurrection, riot, civil unrest, act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, flood, storm, or any other natural or man-made eventuality outside of our control, which causes the termination of an agreement or contract entered into, nor which could have been reasonably foreseen. Any Party affected by such event shall forthwith inform the other Party of the same and shall use all reasonable endeavours to comply with the Terms and Conditions of any Agreement contained herein.
9. Amendments
The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to amend these General Terms & Conditions at any time, and You should regularly check these General Terms & Conditions for any amendments.

11. These conditions apply to export sales (sales to non Republic of Ireland addresses) and are in addition to, or if there is a conflict betWeen them, over-ride earlier conditions for Republic of Ireland sales .
- Sales outside of Republic of Ireland may not be possible for some products due to licencing restrictions.
- We reserve the right to refuse to process export orders outside of the EU.
- We will charge a delivery charge on all export orders that cannot be delivered electronically. It is not possible to quote this on the Website as the cost of this varies depending on destination, how quickly delivery is required and how big the order is. The actual cost will be confirmed to You prior to our acceptance and processing of Your order.
- All export sales including delivery charges must be paid for in advance by debit / credit card only.
- All export sales are on a firm sales basis only. We do not accept returns on export sales unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to order dispatch.
